General Duties

This position is directly responsible and accountable for:

  • Delivering the highest quality of OHS consulting, auditing and training services to F.A.S.T.’s valued clients
  • Achieving monthly/quarterly/annual revenue targets for the Safety Consulting and Training Division based on pre-determined mark-up strategies
  • Providing technical safety expertise and supporting the Sales Team by participating in client meetings and assisting in the preparation of client price quotations for safety consulting and training services
  • Developing and maturing client relationships, continually expanding F.A.S.T.’s book of business
  • Submitting accurate month-end reports and other reports as required

Safety Auditing, Consulting & Training

This position provides direct consulting/training services to F.A.S.T.’s clients including but not limited to:

  • Conducting Certificate of Recognition (COR) audits and assisting in COR Gap Analysis and preparedness
  • Conducting Training Needs Assessments, and developing and delivering the necessary standardized or custom training courses to meet client needs within schedule and budget
  • Developing, enhancing, implementing & continually improving OHS Safety Management Systems to ensure ongoing compliance and continual improvement including OHS policies, practices & procedures, employee handbooks, and Injury Management/Return to Work programs
  • Providing on-site consulting services such as risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations


  • University degree or equivalent technical certificate or OHS diploma from a recognized institution
  • External Certificate of Recognition (COR) Auditor status with a recognized certifying partner in B.C.
  • Minimum of five (5) years safety and training related experience
  • Good working knowledge of federal and provincial OHS legislation
  • Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing a comprehensive Safety Management System
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal communication and time management skills (able to adjust to changing priorities, expectations and client requirements)
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and  PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
  • Certification as Instructor/Trainer is preferred, e.g., Provincial Instructors Diploma.
